Faisalabad ASO impounds non-customs paid Honda Civic car

FAISALABAD: The Customs collectorate Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has impounded a non-customs paid Honda Civic car worth Rs 850,000 involving customs duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 442.352.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Zulifikar Ali Choudhary received information that some non-duty paid vehicles are plying on roads. He constituted a team comprising Superintendent Saeed Ahtar Joiya and Inspector  Safdar Ali, Khalid Noor while sepoys Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Javid, Muhammad Yasin participated in the action.

During checking of vehicles ASO team intercepted a Honda Civic car bearing registration no. AND-100 model 2001 and asked the driver to produce legal documents regarding possession of vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to show any documents.  After his failure ASO team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to customs Adjudication.
