Faisalabad ASO impounds vehicle worth Rs 450,000

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) impounded a non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 450,000 during second week of July 2016.

All the raids were conducted on the special instructions of Faisalabad Customs Additional Collector Saeed Asad. Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan constituted a team to curb smuggling.

The ASO team consisted of Superintendent Saeed Akhtar Joiya, Inspectors Masood Saeed Chohan, Safdar Ali, Sepoys Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah impounded non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 450,000.

Faisalabad ASO impounded vehicle under Import and Export Control Act, 1950 punishable under Section 156(1)89(i) 90 of the Customs Act, 1969 and forward the cases to Customs Adjudication for further legal action.
