DHAKA: The luxurious sedan was found in a building’s garage at the capital’s Daru Salam area in Mirpur, said Customs Intelligence’s Deputy Director HM Shariful Hasan.
“The building’s owner said that an acquaintance of his kept the car. Its license plate and other papers are forged,” he told bdnews24.com.
They suspect the Tk 30 million car was brought into the country by using the ‘Carnet de Passage’ facility, added Hasan.
Under international regulations, tourists, by using the facility can enter one country from another with their vehicles without paying customs duties.
