WASHINGTON: The South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) dedicates a portion of its revenues to partnership projects that support local communities in which the port operates. Applications must demonstrate a clear fit within one of the following focus areas: maritime commerce, economic development, environmental awareness, and community outreach. Awards are available in three levels: $5,000, 2,500 and $1,000. Programs with measurable, sustained impacts receive priority during the selection process.
View last year’s grant recipients here. Non-qualifying organizations include churches, individual schools and community sports teams, and items such as ballot measures, direct overhead costs and salaries are ineligible. All applications must be submitted electronically by Monday, August 1.
