Collector Raja Tahir holds meeting to review performance of adjudication in 2015-16

FAISALABAD: Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed has conducted a meeting with Member Legal Shoukat Khan. The meeting was held in Customs House Lahore to discuss the performance and issues being faced by the Adjudication Collectorate Faisalabad and Multan during Fiscal Year 2015-16.

Sources told Customs Today that Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan, Saima Aftab, and Deputy Collector Asma Hameed were also present during the meeting in which Raja Tahir Majeed introduced a new strategy for Adjudication Collectorate which will help a lot to generate more revenues. He also briefed the participants on pending revenue cases in courts.

In the meeting, Member Legal Shoukat Khan directs to expedite the efforts to achieve revenue collection target. Later, FBR Member Legal instructed the Adjudication staff to resolve the legal disputes with traders and also enhance mutual coordination with traders to avoid legal trials.

Additional Collector Bellamur Ramzan said that Customs staff is complaining about the load shedding that they cannot perform their duties in power shortages as their computers have no uninterrupted power supply at the time of load shedding in the hot summer.
