Member Irshad, DG Imtiaz go on tours to review performance of officials

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue-Operations Member Dr Muhammad Irshad left for Karachi where he will visit Corporate Tax Offices and Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs).

The member will review the performance of revenue collection during first month of the new fiscal year 2016-17. He will also address chief commissioners, commissioners and other officials.

Dr Irshad will also review the efforts being made by officials concerned for revenue collection. The purpose of this visit is to appreciate the officials who marked outstanding performance in last year.

On the other hand, Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan also went on five-day long official country tour.

During five days, he will visit the offices of Customs Intelligence in Lahore, Karachi and in other cities. First he will visit Lahore and then Karachi office to review the performance.

He will also extend wishes to officials who showed outstanding performance during outgoing fiscal year 2015-16.

He will also discuss new planning to prevent smuggling and illegal trade with the officials. The DG will direct the officials to take stern action against the smugglers all over the country.
