Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan issues show-cause notice to owner of non-duty paid Toyota Hilux double

FAISALABAD: The Additional Collector Adjudication Beelamur Ramzan has issued a show-cause notice to the owner of a non-duty paid Toyota Hilux vehicle.

Sources told Customs Today that the additional collector issued the show cause notice to Tajuddin who is a resident of district Sargodha.

Sources said that accused brought new Toyota Hilux double cabin dala in whitec colour model 2002 into the country through un-authorized routes and without payment of customs duty. That vehicle have market value worth Rs22,98,728 involving customs duty and taxes to the tune of Rs15,98,728.

The Anti Smuggling Organization Mianwali authorities after impounding the vehicle near police station Saddar district Bhakkar forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceedings.

The authority also directed the owner to provide evidence because the case will be decided on the basis of evidence available on demand.

Collectorate also directed the Deputy Collector ASO Muhammad Rizwan Khan or other officer with the case proceedings may be deputed to attend the hearing on the schedule date 15-8-2016 along with relevant record.
