ENGLAND: At this point Reality Pump’s pirate RPG, Raven’s Cry, is no stranger to delays, it’s been delayed so many times. It’s in fact kind of difficult to even keep in mind what the unique projected release date was to start with. And now, it’s been beat with an eleventh hour delay (again)- the game is now due out on December 16.
The game was originally meant to be out more than a year ago, which doesn’t bode well for it, as any title that is delayed that much and spends that much tome in development hell rarely ever is a good product when it finally ships (see also: Duke Nukem Forever, Daikatana, RAGE, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5). Whether or not Raven’s Cry proves to be the exception to the rule, or yet another adherent to it, remains to be seen.
