Quetta Customs seizes 300 Juki machines, Indian clothes

KARACHI: Quetta Customs Collector has seized a huge quantity of juki machines and Indian clothes during two successful raids.

Deputy Collector Jhanzaib Abbasi received information a huge quantity of juki machines was smuggled out of city. Consequently, he sought the anti-smuggling team and told them about received information. Deputy collector formed a team including Preventive Ishaq Abbasi, Inspectors Shoaib Ali and others. The team formed check points at the exit point of the city and started the checking of the vehicles. During the checking of the vehicle the team intercepted suspicious truck. While the searching of the truck the officials found more than 300 hundred juki sewing machines. The anti smuggling officials seized the machines which market value is Rs 10 million.

In another operation, the anti-smuggling team has se seized Indian origin silk clothes. As per details, Deputy Collector jhana Zaib received information about the smuggling clothes. Consequently the anti-smuggling team raided in a shop of Bara Market. During the search of the shop the team found 300 bale of Indian silk clothes.  The customs seized all clothes while two persons were arrested during the time of action.
