Customs Tribunal’s new Chairman Manzoor to hold first hearing on Aug 17

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal Chairman Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain will hold first hearings at the tribunal on August 17.

A single bench comprising Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain would hear seven cases of customs as part of his first hearing at the tribunal.

Cases which would be heard by the chairman have been filed against the Model Customs Collectorate, Islamabad.

Aftab Ahmed, Dr SaeedUllah, M Akram and Brothers, M/s Digicell, M/s Mobo International and Zubair Ahmed had filed these cases.

Aftab Ahmed had filed his cases at tribunal first time in 2015; Dr SaeedUllah, and M Akram and Brothers had filed their cases before tribunal in 2012; M/s Digicell and M/s Mobo International had filed their cases in 2013, while Zubair Ahmed filed his case in 2014.

Advocate Naeem Qazi, Malik Hasnat, Farhat Nawaz, Asghar Ali and Raja Haseeb Sultan would contest the mentioned cases against the collectorate.
