COLOMBO: Sri Lanka and Indonesia emphasize the need of a close cooperation in combating human, arms and drugs smuggling.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe discussed the requirement on setting up a collective plan about a system in this regard with Indonesian Law and Defence Minister Virantho.
During the bilateral discussion held today at Jakarta both pledged their dedication to ensure regional democracy, defence and peace. Cooperation among Sri Lankan Ministry of Law and Order and Indonesian Ministry of Law and Defence has also been emphasized. Respective ministers will hold discussions in the near future to ensure such cooperation.
