KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate General of Customs Valuation has updated values of imported blankets.
Customs Valuation Director General Syed Tanveer Ahmed has issued Order-in-Revision 222/2016 updating the customs values of blankets determined vide Valuation Ruling No.878/2016, after the textile millers had approached the Directorate for revision of the valuation.
The Directorate General revised the value of polyester fleece fabric ranged from $3.1/kg to $3.4/kg as per Valuation Ruling 683/2014. The blankets are made of superior quality pile fabric and should not be assessed below fabric value already fixed in valuation ruling.
