MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has approved an assistance package for the families of two employees who were killed in a road accident.
Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) driver Allah Bakhash and Hawaldar Abdul Qadeer were killed in a fatal accident while chasing a suspicious vehicle near Chowk Qureshiwala when their vehicle went out of control and smashed into tree. Four other Customs officials were injured, including Abdul Qadeer who died two days after the accident.
The deceased driver of Multan Customs Allah Baksh was 59 years old and survived by five children. While deceased hawaldar Abdul Qadeer of Multan Customs was about 55 years old and he was also senior hawaldar.
Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich has approved the special assistance package for both deceased employees family to support them financially. Collector Multan has approved their 100 percent pension grants to the families of both deceased government servants as per their length of remaining service and last drawn is also approved.
Both deceased employees of the Multan Customs will also obtain the payment of rent of hired house till the age of superannuation as well as free education to children of the deceased Customs employees up to graduation in any public institution including expanses of tuition fees, books related material and living allowance under assistance package..
The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan will appoint one children of each deceased employee for the two years contract period without any advertisement and they will be appointed very soon in Multan Customs.
