Belgium’s trade faces deficit in June

BRUSSELS: Belgium’s merchandise trade balance in June swung to a deficit from a surplus a year ago as exports declined and imports grew, preliminary data from the National Bank of Belgium showed Tuesday.

The trade balance revealed a deficit of EUR 0.3 billion versus EUR 0.4 billion surplus in the same month last year. In May, the trade surplus was EUR 1.1 billion.
