Sialkot Customs to provide training to customs agents in October

SIALKOT: The Customs Collectorate Sialkot has finalized plan to provide training to new enrolled/registered customs clearing agents who obtained customs clearing agents license from the Sialkot Customs.

An official told Customs Today that the Customs Department will provide training to the customs clearing agents who recently got licenses and that training is mandatory for them.

The official said that training will be completed in two weeks at Customs Academy in Lahore while after training the agents will be awarded certificates.

He said that after getting license the customs clearing agent will liable to work as customs clearing agent. He said that the officials of customs also provide training to new customs clearing agents and during training the officers guide customs clearing agents about proper customs laws and SRO’s as well as preparation of documents of export and Import consignments. He said that the training by the MCC officers is very beneficial for customs clearing agents and new customs clearing agents should participate in training because it will be benefited for them.

The official told that the training at Lahore is also appropriate because this training provide basic knowledge of customs clearing process and other customs related matters.. He said that customs officers will start training from mid October 2016 and additional collector will provide training while collector will supervise the training process.
