COLOMBO: Two Sri Lankan women, allegedly in possession of 80,000 illegal cigarettes, were arrested by Airport Customs upon their arrival from Dubai. Eighty thousand illegal cigarettes worth over Rs.2.8 million were seized at the airport.
Our correspondent said that the stock of cigarettes were found hidden in four bags of the women. The two arrested women have been identified as siblings and are residents of Homagama. Another youth who arrived with them has been arrested. He is a resident of Matale.
