Multan Customs earns Rs 34.8m through auction of goods, vehicles

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation earned a handsome amount of Rs 34.8 million through grand auction of confiscated vehicles and  articles .

According to details, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office organized first public auction of the fiscal Year 2016-17 . The Customs Intelligence and Investigation made history in auction by generating Rs 34.8 million revenue.

During auction Customs Intelligence offered 15 non-duty paid vehicles of different made ups and brands through auction. Customs Intelligence and Investigation sold 12 vehicles during the auction process held in the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Office Multan Range Office.

The presented vehicles were attracting everyone in of auction. Customs generated Rs28.4 million  from auction of seized vehicles. The successfully auctioned vehicles includes Jimmy Sierra jeep, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Fielders and others .

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan also sold out seized foreign origin cloth lots, welding rods, auto parts, air conditioners, scrap iron pipes and LED,s in the auction for the public. Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan have generated highest revenue in any month during auction of seized vehicles and goods in the history .The effective anti-smuggling activities of Customs Intelligence and Investigation teams in the jurisdiction against the non duty paid vehicles and articles resulted in the sudden jump of additional revenue through auction of Customs.

Auctioneer Rana Muhammad Akram carried out auction of non duty paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods in the supervision of  Deputy Director Naveed Ur Rehman Bughvi.
