Quetta Customs confiscates contraband items, 50 drums of oil

KARACHI: The Quetta Customs Collectorate has seized illegal vehicles’ number plates, batteries  and 50 drums of smuggled oil during two successful raids.

Deputy Collector Jahanzaib Abbasi received information the smuggler were planning to smuggle contraband items through a truck from out of Quetta city. Consequently, he informed the anti-smuggling team and directed them to curb the smuggling. The team established check points at main entry and exit point of the city and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of vehicles the team intercepted a suspicious truck and found 200 batteries and some illegal number plats. The customs officials seized contraband items and arrested two persons.

In another action, the anti-smuggling team has seized the huge quantity of brake of oil. On the specials instructions of the deputy collector the raided at a plot located at Pasheen Road and recovered 200 drums of brake oil. The customs officials seized the oil while no one arrested at the time of action.
