LAHORE: Importers have staged protest demonstration against imposition of 3 percent additional customs valuation duty.
The Hall Road traders closed their shops and took out a rally on Mall Road. They urged the authorities concerned to withdraw 3 percent additional valuation duty.
The importers were of the view that the valuation duty imposed on the imports of mobile phone accessories are unrealistic and due to which the traders are unable to get their imported consignment cleared from the dry ports.
They added that the additional 3 percent valuation was destroying their business which is a though provoking scenario.
Hall Road Traders President Babar Mehmood and other traders Babar A li Khan and Shabir Labah said that the government should take notice of the issue so that the traders and importers could be able to conduct their business with peace of mind.
