DG I&I Imtiaz Ahmad announces compensation for families of deceased employees

ISLAMABAD: Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigations (I&I) Imtiaz Ahmad Khan has directed distribution of Rs 2.9 million each among the families of four deceased employees.

Sources told Customs Today that Director General Imtiaz also directed to provide employment to one of the family members of these employees while Rs 900,000 will be paid to each bereaved family to purchase a plot.

Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation also issued necessary instructions in this regard. It is necessary to mention here that deceased employees included one lower division clerk (LDC), two sepoys and one driver. A notification issued by the department also says that their families will also receive additional Rs 1.5 million on the marriage of a son or daughter.
