Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships C.V X-Press Kailash, M.T As Oreila and M.T Turk Gaz carrying Containers, palm oil and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Sunday. Meanwhile three more ships with containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was managed at 53% at the Port on Thursday where a total of eight berths were engaged by ships namely C.V X-Press Kailash, C.V MSC Lisbon, M.v Alam Moler, M.V Katerina, and M.T As Orelia, M.T Turk Gaz, M.T Marang Gas Ascleplius and M.T Mezair-I to load/offload containers, cement, soya bean seeds, LPG, LNG palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Cargo throughput during last 4 hours stood at 154,910 tonnes, comprising 104,769 tonnes import cargo and 50,141 tonnes export cargo indusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,913 containers (TEUs) (1,274 imports TUEs & 2,639 TUEs exports) was handled at the port.

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

Fice ships C.V Al-Manama, C.V MSC Leanne, M.V Golden Trader-I, M.T Quetta and M.T Atlantic Glory carying containers, soya bean seeds, diesel oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, FAP, FOTCO and EVTL respectively on Monday.
