KIEV: The European Commission (EC) is prepared to take part in the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transport system, notwithstanding uncertainties regarding its future operations, a UNIAN correspondent reported, referring to Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.
“It is in our common interest to modernize Ukraine’s gas transport system,” Sefcovic said at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. He added that such cooperation would be a positive signal to those who doubt the future of Ukraine’s gas transport system.
