Chairman Nisar for transparent investigations into Panama Leaks scandal

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan has directed to keep the investigation process against the people involved in Panama Leaks scandal transparent.

As per details, Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan issued these directions during a short visit to Karachi where he held several meeting with the different heads of the departments in the Customs House, Karachi.

During the visit, the chairman gave special directives regarding the process of investigation into the Panama Leaks. He has said that the allegations of the Panama Leaks are being reviewed and the investigation must be held on according to the law.

It may be mentioned here that the FBR taking actions issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children, Maryam Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, son of Malik Riaz and other accused persons.

All persons have also been directed to file their replies within 15 days, he said, adding that the notices were not being served under any kind of political pressure.
