Customs makes plan to organize workshop on new system

SIALKOT: Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Choudhary has said that the Customs Department is making plan to give awareness to exporters and importers through seminars and workshops as well as training courses.

He told Customs Today that the exporters and importers should leave the traditional and nontraditional trading process rather they should adopt new technologies to increase export and import. He said that the government has introduced WeBoc System whereas the government is also introducing I-Form System and these systems are purely working on new and best technologies.

He said that the Customs Department has already informed to all traders about WeBoc system but they remained failed to understanding this system whereas the I-Form system will also introduce soon. He said that the government will arrange the seminars and workshops in the premises of Chambers Of Commerce and Industries rather the training courses will be arranged at the premises of Customs Colletorate. He said that the government and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) are taking interest that the exporters and importers should get awareness for new technologies because it will better for future and they will not face any problem for export and import consignment clearing process.
