KIEV: According to official statistics, in July Ukrainian barley exports rose by 19% compared to the first month of the previous season.
In July 2016 Ukraine exported about 1011.6 KMT against 848 KMT in July 2015. More than half of the exported barley was shipped to Saudi Arabia. Large share of barley was exported to Libya (148.3 KMT) and China (90.2 KMT).
Peculiar in the new season were exports to Jordan. Only in the first month Ukrainian exporters shipped to this destination more barley than over the whole 2015/16 season (92.6 KMT compared to 86.1 KMT). In the new season Morocco continued to purchase Ukrainian barley, importing 26.5 KMT compared to 25.3 KMT over the whole last season.
