Customs Central Region posts 5pc customs duty growth

LAHORE: The Customs Central Region collected Rs 4,933 million customs duty during the month of August 2016-17 against the collection of Rs 4,691 million during the same period last year, registering a five percent growth.

The Customs Appraisement collected Rs 2,681 million during the period under review against Rs 2,584 million during the corresponding period of last year.

On the other hand, Customs Preventive collected Rs 1,216 million during the month of August in financial year 2016-17.

Similarly, the Collectorate of Multan that is also working under the limits of chief collector office collected Rs 615 million during the period under review against the collection of Rs 1,039 million during the same period last year.

On the other hand, the Collectoarte of Faisalabad collected Rs 420 million during August FY 2016-17 against the collection of Rs1,039 million during the same period in the corresponding period of last financial year.
