ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the government would bring Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) at par with rest of the country constitutionally, socially and economically.
“We will abolish the discriminatory laws in Fata,” the prime minister said in a statement issued by the PM House. He said the people of Fata would decide the future of the area and the political, economic and development package the government was giving to Fata was unprecedented in country’s history.
He said historically, Fata residents had rendered countless sacrifices for the country. “I salute their spirit and love for the country,” he remarked.
