Chairman Nisar, Members Dr Irshad and Nasir Masroor wish Eid to staff

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, Inland Revenue-Operations (IR) Member Dr Muhammad Irshad and Customs Member Nasir Masroor extended great wishes to all staff of the board on the eve of Eidul Azha and urged them to pray for prosperity and development of Pakistan.

The chairman said that public assigned prestigious duty of revenue collection to the staff of the FBR, adding, “We will perform our responsibilities with honesty in larger interest of the country, as negligence will make us incompetent.”

“The FBR has an essential role in development of the country, he said, adding, “It is not the work of revenue collection only but it leads us to prosperity, which was dreamed by our ancestors at the time of creation of Pakistan”.

IR Member Dr Muhammad Irshad said that Eid ul Azha extended a lesson of sacrifice, which is also required for development of the country by sacrificing personal interests and wishes, adding, “Our working in field should be proven helpful for hometown”.

He added that the performance of FBR team during last fiscal year was the latest example set by the FBR. He urged officials to perform their duties without taking any pressure and bribe.

Customs Member Nasir Masroor extended a message stating that Eid provided a chance to thank Allah Almighty on showering of blessings, adding that it is the time where sacrifices are required to save the loving country.

“I congratulate officials who are performing their role for development of the country, besides boosting revenue collection,” he added.

On this happy accession, all officials should pray to Allah to help us in achieving the revenue targets in new fiscal year 2016-17.
