WARSAW: The minimum monthly wage in Poland will be increased to PLN 2,000 (around EUR 460, USD 515) under new rules signed into force by Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło.
The new rules will kick in on 1 January, and will guarantee a minimum monthly wage 8.1 percent higher than the current one. Earlier this year, Polish President Andrzej Duda signed a bill under which the country’s minimum wage will be set at PLN 12 (EUR 2.73) an hour from 2017.
