Customs Export issues notice to M/s Osama Fertilizers due to tax evasion

KARACHI: The Customs Export authorities issued final notice to the management of M/s Osama Fertilizers due to its involvement in taxes and duty evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of import data of M/s Osama Fertilizers it was revealed that M/s Osama Fertilizers imported four consignments during the month of February by using SRO 562.

The above said company also availed undue concessions and benefits by using different PCT heading and caused a loss of Rs9,45,000 to national kitty.

After detecting tax evasion, Customs Export authorities also imposed a penalty of Rs1,10,000 on the management of M/s Osama Fertilizers Thatta. Now Customs Export directed the company to deposit outstanding amount of Rs10,11,000 within 14 days otherwise stern action will be taken against the company.
