He said that Customs Station Shabqadar also generated Rs2.43 million as sales tax during the same period of current fiscal year 2016-17.

Additional deputy collector said that Customs Station Shabqadar is not regular customs station as are others, just one consignment came in a week. He said that traders mostly import timber from Mohmand Agency so the revenue collection during month of July-August 2016-17 was satisfactory.

He further said that it is a handsome revenue generation station but after tension with Afghanistan revenue of this station showed downward trend.

The additional deputy collector said that during the past almost daily dozens of consignment of fresh fruits were passed through this station, most of these fresh fruits were import from Afghanistan.

Sources said that Shabqadar station still not given the revenue collection target for FY 2016-17 but it will be assigned by FBR given in end of September.
