DUBLIN: Alan Kelly, the Labour Party TD, has accused the leader of Fianna Fail of treating workers, farmers and businesspeople unfairly by calling for the abolition of water charges.
“I can’t believe that Micheál Martin is going to discriminate against the population who live in rural Ireland, against businesspeople who have paid for this all their lives. I’m not one of these people who say ‘impose water charges’,” Mr Kelly said on Newstalk yesterday.
“You can’t discriminate against farmers, against people who live in rural Ireland who have their own wells, against businesses across the whole country and say that one.
