LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has directed the customs investigation team to present interim investigation challan against an employee of PIA in gold smuggling case.
The airhostess named Nuzhat Bukhari was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and then she was handed over to the customs for prosecution. The Customs Investigation and Prosecution team presented her before the court for remand where she confessed to the smuggling. After that the court sent her to jail for judicial trial.
Earlier, the ANF claimed to have arrested a senior Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) airhostess from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport in connection with an attempt to smuggle two kilogramme of gold to New York the United States (US).
