DUBAI: Dubai Customs is geared to take part in various categories of the 4th edition of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government (HbMPSG), organized by Dubai’ The Model Centre, a subsidiary of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council. A host of smart, customer-focused initiatives will make Dubai Customs’ submissions salient and stand out this year. Such initiatives stem from the innovation move undertaken by the organization and share a common goal of delivering better Customs services that make customers happier.

The Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, said, “We, at Dubai Customs take great care to adhere fully to Dubai Model for Government Services when we upgrade our services and systems. By opting for only the best of Customs practices worldwide, Dubai Customs is keen on fulfilling the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, to provide government services that rise above customers’ expectations. “Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government is a strong incentive for all government departments and entities to go the extra mile and bring their best of services to the public.” On his part, Hussam Juma Mohammed, Business Process and Enterprise Architecture Director and Head of Innovation Team at Dubai Customs, believes that the award offers a prime competitive platform for government agencies. “Dubai Customs will be a strong contender for the program awards this year, with multiple submissions in different categories,” he said.
