SOFIA: Customs officers with the anti-drug department with Sofia Airport Customs busted some 4.3 kilos of cocaine, the press office of the National Customs Agency announced.
The drug haul was found in the luggage of a Polish citizen, who arrived at Sofia Airport from Santiago, Chile.
Following the risk analysis method the customs officers selected the passenger for an inspection and found a manipulated loudspeaker cabinet in his luggage, where the drug was hidden.
A following investigation resulted also in the arrest of the received of the shipment – a Nigerian national and a Bulgarian citizen. The price of the confiscated cocaine haul is estimated at BGN 2.5 million.
