ICCI new Office Bearers and Executive Members sworn in

ISLAMABAD: The newly elected Office Bearers and Executive Members of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) have taken oath of their portfolios in the 32nd Annual General Meeting of ICCI. Khalid Iqbal Malik was sworn in as President, Khalid Malik Senior Vice President and Tahir Ayub Vice President, ICCI for the year 2016-17. Abdul Rauf, President, FPCCI administered oath to newly elected Office Bearers while Khalid Javed, Chairman, Founder Group administered oath of Executive Members.

After taking oath as President ICCI, Khalid Iqbal Malik thanked the Founder Group and members of ICCI for electing him unopposed and assured that he would try to deliver up to their expectations. He shared his plan for the development of Chamber and betterment of business community. He said strong liaison would be developed with market associations and industrial areas to resolve problems of trade and industry effectively. He said a Committee would be constituted to work for with traders and industrialists for expansion of ICCI membership. He said exhibitions would be organized in Islamabad to promote business activities. He said many initiatives would be taken to make ICCI strong voice of business community.

The outgoing President Atif Ikram Sheikh congratulated the new Office Bearers and Executive Members and hoped that they would perform better role for resolving the problems of business community. He also highlighted the major initiatives taken during his tenure for facilitating the members in growth of business activities.

Khalid Javed, Chairman, Founder Group congratulated the new Office Bearers and Executive Members. He hoped that the new team would perform up to the expectations of stakeholders and also appreciated the services of outgoing team.  He said all decisions in Founder Group were taken with consultation and also thanked all members of ICCI for their cooperation and support which enabled Founder Group to win elections with heavy mandate.

Abdul Rauf, President FPCCI also congratulated the new Office Bearers and Executive Members and assured that FPCCI would fully cooperate with ICCI in its efforts aimed at improving business activities. The newly elected Senior Vice President Khalid Malik, Vice President Tahir Ayub, outgoing SVP Sheikh Pervez Ahmed and Vice President Sheikh Abdul Waheed also spoke at the occasion.
