Customs Valuation issues guidelines for garments of Mango, Dockers brands

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate of Customs Valuation has issued valuation guidelines for garments of different brands.

The Customs Valuation director general issued these guidelines after a thorough market survey and examination of clearance data.

During the examination of previous clearance of data, it was observed that Mango Brand shirts/T-shirts falling under PCT 6105 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The reference values or valuation guidelines were issued suggesting the values at $7/pc for men/ladies T-shirts (all types) and $17/pc for men/ladies shirts (all types).

It was also detected that Mango Brand jeans/casual pants falling under PCT 6105 were being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side. Then, the reference values or valuation guidelines were issued suggesting the values at $17/pc for men jeans/casual pants (all types); and $24/pc for ladies jeans/casual pants (all types).

During the examination of previous clearance data, it was observed that Dockers Brand shirts/T-shirts all origins are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side. Later,  the reference values or valuation guidelines are issued suggesting the values of men shirts (all types) at $22.23/pc and for men/ladies T-shirts (all types) at $18.2/pc.
