Consignments not to be allowed in dry port sans documentation: Amanat Ali

ISLAMABAD: No vehicle or consignment will be allowed in bonded area of Islamabad dry port without proper documentation, which will be checked by the custom security officers and facilitation officers.

An office order issued by Assistant Collector Amanat Ali Khan states that the customs officers will be responsible for ensuring that the seals are intact and report any discrepancy immediately to the undersigned. The officials will check all the documents accompanied by the carriers and will maintain the record on a daily basis.

The assistant collection will also ensure that no vehicle/consignment will enter the bonded area without proper documentation.

The order further states that security officers can get other information from computer section and also have to prepare a list of incoming containers and clearance of consignments from dry port on a daily basis on the prescribed format for “incoming and outgoing consignments”.
