IHC to hear cases filed against FBR, Appellate Tribunal today

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) would hear cases involving the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue on Thursday (today).

A division bench of the IHC comprising of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani would hear the tax reference filed by M/s Pakistan Oil Field Limited.

The appellant in this case had moved the petition against ATIR and had challenged it announcement before the court. FBR field office, Large Taxpayers Unit’s officers were also made respondent in the case.

IHC Single Bench, comprising of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb would hear Islamabad Electric Supply Company’s reference.

This was filed against Regional Tax Office, Islamabad and the commissioner Inland Revenue was made main respondent.

The appellant had challenged a show cause notice issued for outstanding tax recovery. The court would hear initial arguments in the case on Thursday
