Customs values of surgical gloves revised

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of latex, vinyl, nitrile examination/surgical gloves vide Valuation Ruling No. 950/2016 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

The customs values of latex, vinyl examination/surgical gloves were earlier determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 766/2015. Since the determined values were a year old, it needed revision according to trends prevailing in the international market.

Therefore, the officials took initiative and determine the fresh values of the said items.

The customs values of latex surgical gloves (Sterilized) of Malyasia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and China are $3.95/kg.

The customs values of latex examination gloves (non-sterilized) of Malyasia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and China are $2.78/kg.

The customs values of vinyl examination gloves (non-sterilized) of Malyasia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and China are $2.40/kg.

The customs values of nitrile examination gloves of Malyasia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand and China are $4.5/kg.
