FIA arrests three suspects involved in human trafficking

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspects involved in human trafficking.

The FIA official told Customs Today that proclaimed offender Mirza Shafiq, a resident of Bhimber, wanted in FIR 622/12 FIA AHTC, Lahore has been arrested. The accused was involved in a human smuggling case and had extorted Rs 380,000 from complainant for sending him to Abu Dhabi. The accused is court absconder in six cases 218/12, 372/10, 155/12, 608/11, 692/11 and 268/12 of FIA AHTC Lahore. During the investigation, the team recovered fake visa stickers and passports from him. Official said that the accused was present in Red Book

In another action, the agency arrested the accused, M. Ishaq, a resident of Lahore. He was wanted in FIR no. 920/16 of FIA AHTC Lahore for his involvement in human smuggling to UAE. He extorted Rs 145,000 from a complainant. Accused Shahid Sultan resident of Tandlianwala wanted in FIR no. 879/16 has been arrested.  The accused was involved in human smuggling to UAE and extorted Rs 1,300’000 from a complainant.
