Additional Collector Beelam issues notice to owner of non-duty paid vehicle

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam-ur-Ramzan has issued a show cause notice to Rafi Ullah who is owner of a non-duty paid Toyota Axio G car.

Sources told Customs Today that Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounded the Toyota Axio G car bearing registration no. 942 – Islamabad during an intelligence based operation near Gugtwala Toll Plaza Sheikhupura Road, Faisalabad. The worth of the vehicle is Rs 11,01,694 .

During the checking of vehicle, the Customs Intelligence team intercepted the vehicle and its owner who introduced himself as Rafi Ullah.

On demand of the Customs team, Rafi Ullah failed to produce documents regarding legal import of the vehicle. The Customs Intelligence team impounded the vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication.

The Customs Adjudication issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969.
