LTU had challenged an ATIR decision before the court in which the tribunal had decided a tax matter in favor of M/s CMPak Limited and set aside the show cause notice issued by the LTU claiming recovery of outstanding tax amount in head of income tax.

LTU had issued the show cause notice stating the recoverable outstanding tax amount for the tax period of 2010-2012. ATIR was also made a respondent in the case.

The appellant had prayed the court to set aside the decision announced by ATIR and allow the LTU to recover the outstanding tax amount. The bench would resume hearing on case in third week of October.
