IHC to hear couple of cases filed by FBR office on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear couple of cases involving filed offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday.

IHC single bench comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb would hear the cases. The bench earlier had adjourned hearing of the cases for second week of October.

These cases had been filed by Mumtaz Construction Company Private Limited and M/s Noor Flour and General Mills.

The former had filed the cases against LTU, Islamabad and had made Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue the main respondent along with ATIR. The later had also field the case against LTU, however had made Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue the main respondent along with other officers of LTU including the commissioner Inland Revenue.

The appellants had challenged LTU show cause notices that it had issued to the appellant in early months of this year. The appellant had filed cases with IHC following ATIR had maintained the decision announced by department’s adjudication in favor of tax recovery claims made by LTU.
