KATI felicitates SBP governor

KARACHI: Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief SM Muneer and President Masood Naqi congratulated State Bank of Pakistan Governor Ashraf Mehmood Wathra for being named Central Bank Governor of the Year 2016 by a highly-steamed international institution.

In a statement here on Thursday they said, “This is a matter of pride for the nation that SBP Governor joins a list that includes some of the best-known figures in the Central Banking community.” S.M. Muneer and Masood Naqi said in their joint statement that Ashraf Mehmood Wathra is serving in banking sector since four decades. After taking over the responsibility as SBP’s Governor, he played a vital role to maintain a smooth coordination between the monetary and economic policy of the country.
