Faisalabad Adjudication settles 47 cases involving Rs 35.494m in September

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Adjudication Collectorate settled as many as 47 Smuggled cases involving Rs 35.494 million during September- 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Adjudication issued Order-in-Originals (ONOs) in favour of Faisalabad Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and Customs Intelligence and Investigations. It heard 47 cases of cloth, cell phones, auto parts, Toyota Corolla and other different vehicles, liqour, and cigarettes which were confiscated during different raids by the customs authorities.

According to monthly statement, Faisalabad Adjudication Collector Raja Tahir Majeed decided 2 cases involving customs duty amounting to Rs 8.196 million, while Additional Collector Beelamur Ramzan settled 6 cases involving Rs 11.585 million. Whereas Deputy Collector Asma Hameed decided 39 cases involving Rs 15.713 million and announced decision in favor of Customs Intelligence and Investigation and ASO.
