Gujranwala Customs Intelligence to hold auction on Oct 25

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Gujranwala will hold auction of impounded vehicles and other items on October 25, 2016.

Reportedly, Customs Intelligence Superintendent Muhammad Sajjad Rubbani told Customs Today that the department impounded five non-duty paid vehicles and miscellaneous items worth Rs 10 million during different actions.

He said that the summary of the items had been sent to director office, Lahore for approval of auction, adding that the director has allowed auction of vehicles and other confiscated items on the said date.

He informed that auction of impounded vehicles and items will be held thrice in a month according to the policy of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. He added that transparency will be maintained in whole process.

The process will be carried out under the supervision of Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood, while Superintendent Muhammad Rauf Farooqi and Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Anwar will members of committee.
