Collector Adjudication-I Surriya Butt seeks brief record of pending cases

KARACHI: Collector Customs Adjudication-I Surriya Ahmed Butt presided over a meeting at her office to review record and progress of pending cases.

During the meeting, the Collector of Customs Adjudication-I reviewed the performance of the Collectorate by taking facts and figures in connection with the cases which have been decided or pending in different departments of the Collectorate.

Collector Surriya Ahmed Butt asked the additional collectors, deputy collectors and assistant collectors to ensure early disposal of the cases which are still pending.

The officials of the Collectorate briefed the collector- that they have issued Show Cause Notices (SCNs) and Orders-in Originals (ONOs) to different importers and clearing agents in order to recover the evaded taxes adding that millions of rupees fine/penalty was also imposed on importers and clearing agents.

The Collector-Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I Surriya Butt further asked to improve their performance in order to adjudicate the cases which are in pending into their respective departments.

The Collector-Surriya Ahmed Butt further asked the officials to present a compile report of the cases which have been adjudicated in their respective Collectorates during the last three months by the end of this current month.
