Draft of new companies’ bill 2016 on cards: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has said that the draft of new companies Bill 2016 had been prepared in extensive consultation with all stakeholders.

He stated this while chairing a meeting of the Laws Review Committee here at the Finance Division this evening.

A statement of the Ministry of Finance issued here said that the Committee reviewed progress on various draft bills that were being considered for legislation.

The finance minister said that it was government’s priority to facilitate business and make it easier for them to operate. The new companies Bill, he opined, would lead to adoption of best international practices in the field.

Federal Minister for Law, Zahid Hamid, Minister of State for Information Technology, Anusha Rehman Khan, Attorney General for Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf Ali, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Law, Barrister Zafarullah Khan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Khwaja Zaheer Ahmed attended the meeting.
