Tax evasion: Customs Exports issues tax notice to M/s Anas Garments and Exports

KARACHI: Customs Exports authorities issued final tax notice to the management of M/s Anas Garments and Exports in tax evasion case.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of import data it was revealed that M/s Anas Garments and Exports availed undue concessions and benefits by using SRO 566. The company imported two consignments of raw material during the month of October.

After detecting tax evasion, Customs Exports issued final tax notice to the management of M/s Anas Garments and Exports directing the company to clear outstanding amount of Rs3,00,000 at the earliest. Otherwise, stern legal action will be taken against the company leading to attachment of bank accounts and seizure of property.

It is necessary to mention here that Customs Exports authorities are already expedited their efforts to recover outstanding amount from defaulters to meet the revenue collection target set for Fiscal Year 2016-17.
